WHAT IS YOUR SLED WORTH? PAGE 75
I GET EMAILS FROM OWNERS ASKING ME WHAT I THINK THEIR SLED IS WORTH.  THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS - APPEARANCE - CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION - RARE MODEL - STORED OUTSIDE / INSIDE -  ORIGINAL - HAVING TRANSFER PAPERS AND SO ON.

I CREATED THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY.

JUST REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN
TRUE VALUE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD.

THIS GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED.  AFTER ALL  A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE.
I CANNOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE PRICE YOU BUY OR SELL YOUR SLED AT. THAT IS TOTALLY
YOUR DECISION.  GOOD LUCK.

I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE YEAR POSTED WITH THE SNOWMOBILE.
SOMETIMES - PEOPLE POST THE WRONG YEAR.

This is a 1977 Ski-Doo Everest 340E that is in good shape and runs excellent.  I am the second owner of this sled.  It sat for about 12 years from the mid 80's till late 90's.  Since then I have put about 200 miles per season on it.  It has 2545 total miles.  I pulled it out of summer storage today - two shots of primer, one pull on the recoil and it ran perfectly.  It has always been very dependable.  It is a lot of fun to drive, lots of low end power and a very light feel to it.  Top speed is about 60 mph.

Here are the specifics, first the bad:  The hood on the right side bottom edge is cracked in a number of places.  It has been epoxied and duct taped as you can see in the pictures.  It has been this way for at least 3 or 4 years and isn't getting any worse.  Also the windshield on the right side is bent down more than it should be.  Still serves its purpose and is not cracked or otherwise damaged.  The sled has electric start but when the last battery died i decided not to replace it because it always starts on one pull anyway and I figured the extra weight of the battery was not worth it.  So, it has no battery.  That is it for the downside.

Now the good - it comes with a heavy duty cover that is about 2 years old - no rips or tears (sorry no pictures).  Seat is in perfect condition, no tears.  Track is in good shape.  Slides were replaced 2 years ago.  Wear rods were replaced last winter.  Driven clutch buttons and spark plugs were replaced last winter.  Drive belt, fan belt and fuel line is 2 years old.  entire sled and engine is very clean as you can see in the pictures.
