I
GET EMAILS FROM OWNERS ASKING ME WHAT I THINK THEIR SLED IS WORTH.
THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS -
APPEARANCE
- CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION
- RARE MODEL - STORED OUTSIDE / INSIDE - ORIGINAL - HAVING TRANSFER
PAPERS AND SO ON.
I CREATED THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY. JUST
REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER
THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN
SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN
THIS
GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED. AFTER
ALL A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT.
I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE.
I
DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE YEAR POSTED WITH THE SNOWMOBILE.

1964
Arctic Cat model 170 Rear Engine. I believe this was the first year
that Arctic Cat ever produced them and from what I've been told there were
only 113 of these produced that year. If that is the case how many
survived? Can't be many left out there. The over-all condition is
good plus or better. For the most part the sled is complete and can
easily be restored. The frame is solid and has only minor surface
rust. Everything on it appears to be original except the seat, which is
gone. It comes with an 8 horse Kohler cast iron engine, steel track,
steel body with only surface rust, a two speed transmission with reverse
and original paint and tags. A few of the flaws are: The front glass
windshield and seat are gone and the engine does not turn over. The
gentleman I bought it from said it was running when he parked it in the
late 70's. The serial number on the tag states: 417-940
Model 170. Ended: Sep-11-05 17:00:00 PDT Start time: Sep-04-05 17:00:00 PDT History: 27 bids (US $9.99 starting bid) |
A DONATION OF $ 5 OR $ 10 GOES A LONG WAY. ANY CONTRIBUTION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS - DAVID |
