WHAT IS YOUR SLED WORTH? PAGE 47
I GET EMAILS FROM OWNERS ASKING ME WHAT I THINK THEIR SLED IS WORTH.  THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS - APPEARANCE - CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION - RARE MODEL - STORED OUTSIDE / INSIDE -  ORIGINAL - HAVING TRANSFER PAPERS AND SO ON.

I CREATED THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY.

JUST REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN
TRUE VALUE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD.

THIS GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED.  AFTER ALL  A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE.
I CANNOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE PRICE YOU BUY OR SELL YOUR SLED AT. THAT IS TOTALLY
YOUR DECISION.  GOOD LUCK.

I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE YEAR POSTED WITH THE SNOWMOBILE.
SOMETIMES - PEOPLE POST THE WRONG YEAR.
1977 Exciter S#8E8-007685 it has 5370 miles on the odometer. This machine has been dissassembled, cleaned and reassembled. Everything was gone over and what needed replacing was replaced. Some of the new parts include, fuel and oil lines, all bearings, slides, and shock in rear suspension. Clutches and carb were cleaned and adjusted. Engine has 115lbs. compression on each cylinder. This sled runs exellant, looks great and is ready to ride. There is a small crack in the front of the hood by the E in Exciter, the seat was recovered sometime in the past and was done about 3/4 in too short, the seat cover is not perfect but very nice. There are other small imperfections in this sled but for 27 years and 5000 miles it's in pretty nice shape. I would grade it on a 1 to 10 scale as an 8.

Up for auction is a very clean all original survivor 72 775 TNT. Has been sitting around inside for a long time. Serial # of unit is 2623 00068. Motor serial # is 2271271. I just pulled down the motor and cleaned and freshened it all up since it has been sitting around for quite a while. Cylinders were good but ran a hone through them and took the glaze off and put on a nice new hatch. Pistons and rings looked good but had a new set of rings so I put them on.Compression after reassembly was PTO #150, Mag #145. Carbs were cleaned and rebuilt along with new fuel lines. Motor has not been fired yet but should be ready to fuel and run. Body has not been restored but very nice shape for original. The speedo shows mileage of 458 and I believe this very well could be true.
