model 400 with the 252 JLO motor, pin style secondary clutch, wider body
and hood to accomodate the larger motor. Track belting at 4" &
6". This macine was the forrunner of the model 444. Serial
number vary but should start with 40000.
Not many were made and are often mistaken as a model 444.
The table is in two pieces and the
sides of the hood scoop are closed. There are also four lifting handles. These are the three key features which definitely distinguish it from a model 444.
