NORTHWAY HISTORY BY ANDY TAYLOR
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE YEARS IN MY STORY REFER TO
MODEL YEARS AND NOT ACTUAL PRODUCTION YEAR.

Spring of 1974

Northway is sold to a Mr. Lewis C. Crowe from Barrie Ontario ( SEE PICTURE BELOW ).

Mr. Crowe continued to build and sell Northway Snowmobiles under the Banner of Northway recreational vehicules.

He was Selling most of his production on the front lawn of the family home ( SEE PICTURE BELOW )
and at one dealer selling his sleds in the U.S.

M.Crowe was a former Northway dealer and continued to sell Northway snowmobiles at home and building them in his double garage attached to the family home until unfortunately all was lost in a fire in 1979.

M.Crowe built about 400 sleds from 1975 to 1979

Crowes daughters and M. McRobert sent me a Christmas card last year thanking me for restoring and showing my Northway Snowmobiles.
