Hi David - I grew up with this wonderful snowmobile and later when we had others it was
called the Yellow One. The Yellow One was at home before I was even a twinkle in my dad’s eye.

My dad bought the 1970 Skidoo Olympique 335 brand new in the fall of 1969.

It has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started sitting at the back with Dad driving and
later started driving it with my sister at the back. Your clothes always smelt like gasoline after a ride so Mom
always made sure we put older clothes on before we even got close to the Yellow One.

My sister did not like to drive it because it jerked her too much on take off.
So the Yellow One became mine to drive and later as a teenager to work on too.
In the winter of 1997 after a semester of small engines class in high school, the Yellow One put on a lot of
miles. This is the time I remember the most. I remember going out for a ride after school; it was my stress
reliever for my teenage years. There was a lot of playing in the drifts along the fence lines and the ditches
along our gravel road. The best place to ride was owned by an extended family member.

It has evergreens that are spaced wide enough to carve around and undulations in the snow that made you
feel that you were floating. Other parts had trails cut through thicker woods with bends and curves, and it
was not uncommon to round a corner and come upon a deer or other wildlife. So this is how my love affair
with snowmobiling started. The Yellow One is still being driven to this day and hopefully for many more.
