Here are some pics of my 1974 Yamaha GPX that you asked for at this years Eganville show. This machine was a complete mess and the restoration took 3 months, working on it every day. The machine is totally original Yamaha although the colour was changed to match my other Yamaha. Paint criticisms are ignored since it's my "Hot Rod". The engine is a 433cc Free Air with the Yamaha GYT kit including XB Cylinders and Heads, the original acoustic fuel injection, pipes, pyrometers and clutch mods. All aluminum parts were polished and the hood painted Yamaha Blue. Need some information on a snowmobile that is being considered for restoration. Have looked everywhere for information or pictures of this sled to no avail. The machine decals to be an "Argo" (Ontario Drive and Gear Company in New Hamburg, Ontario). It is green in colour but looks like it used to be orange. It's powered by a 340cc FC CCW with a single Tillitson and has a combination of bogies and sliders. Any information on this unusual sled would be appreciated. Regards
