W400. Purchased 3 Junk machines in December 2003. Drove 3000
Kilometers to pick them up. I worked on it just about every day for 6 months to get to this point. Even with 3 machines there were not enough parts to build 1 good sled so I made the missing parts myself. All the work except for the Chrome and sewing of the seat cover was done by me at home in my garage. And yes you can start it and drive it away. It runs. I worked at Northway snowmobiles for 3 years and I had a hand in building this machine on the assembly line 33 years ago. Thanks Andrew THANKS ANDY FOR THESE GREAT PICTURES! ANDY FIRST CONTACTED ME ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO AND TOLD ME HE WORKED FOR NORTHWAY WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER. THE PLANT WAS ONLY ABOUT 5 MILES FROM WHERE I LIVE NOW. HE HAS SHARED MANY GREAT MEMORIES WITH ME FROM THE DAYS WORKING AT NORTHWAY. IT HAS BEEN A REAL PLEASURE TO SEE THIS SLED COME TO LIFE WEEK BY WEEK. I WILL BE POSTING THE WHOLE RESTORATION PROJECT IN THE WEEKS TO COME. THIS SLED IS AWESOME! ENJOY THESE GREAT PICTURES. YOU CAN READ ABOUT DAVE AND ANDY TAYLOR BY CLICKING HERE. |
