The 3rd pic is an actual picture inside the race department in 1970. These are 1971 Blizzards. This facility actually isn't located in Valcourt. It is located about 5 or 7 miles north on Hwy 222, on your way to Roxton. If you are ever in Valcourt to see the races you would be driving right by this building. The races are held on the Bombardier old oval test track. The property and the surrounding buildings were that of Mr. Bombardier himself. The farm house that he lived in, is next to the racing department, which was a converted barn. When the guys would take about their location, they would call it the farm. Carl Healy - Dawson Creek, BC - Canada ----- This place is the mile 0 of the Alaska Highway. THANKS CARL FOR THE GREAT PICTURE! |
