This picture is that of the Bombardier racing department crew taken in the spring of 1973, upon completion of the development of their prototype production grass racer. These machines used 1972 engines upgraded to run on methanol. The tall guy in the middle with the glasses is Real larochelle. He was their main engine man. He did dyno tests and brought up all the race engines to their max performance before the race season. He was also Mike Trapp's mechanic while Mike raced for Bombardier. The guy at your far left with the white collared Ski-Doo jacket is Jean Guy Talbot. He was a Forman at the race department and was their main guy when it came to calibrating the clutches. The fifth guy down joking with the guy below him and the sixth guy were known as the "Tune Brothers". These two fellows created some nice pieces of art when it came to making the tune pipes for these machines. The last guy at the far right is Remie Cote. He was Gaston Ferland’s mechanic. The guy just behind the handle bars of the grass racer was the designer/engineer. And the guy squatting at the end of the grass racer is Claude Desrosier. He was Yvon Duhamel’s mechanic. He was also the guy who got to test all test fine machines to work the bugs out of them before they went to the races. Unofficially he was the fastest guy on a snowmobile back in the day when they were testing their Double Eagle, X2R, and X4R. He was also indoctrinated into the snowmobile hall of fame.
