MARCH 28 - 2006

Hi David

Here are some pictures of my AKTIV.

Here is some information I have on it.

Aktiv twin track snowmobile. It has 2 X 15 inch tracks suspension by bogey wheel.

Single large ski up front about as wide as a snowboard.

Sachs 290 single cylinder engine. 3 speed transmission has low, high
and reverse in addition to the regular snowmobile torque converter system.

Exhaust runs all the way down the side and out the back.

3 different braking systems - hand via cable, hand hydraulic and foot brake.

Gas tank is under seat. 134 miles on speedometer.

This machine is in excellent restored condition and fires right up 1st or 2nd pull.

Runs great. ID Plate on back of sled reads like this - AKTIV FISCHER AB
NO 450156 TJANSTEVIKT 280 TYP SC20. The motor ID plate reads -
6198603-293-70. This snowmobile was made in Sweden.

I have found very little information on these snowmobiles other than
a few pictures that are on your site. My guess is that it may be a 1970 model
since the last #'s that are on the motor ID tag read 70.

THANKS RICK FOR THE GREAT PICTURES!
