The Waconia show Jan. of 2008 was one of the best in recent history.

Temperatures were around 35F/2C and warmer the entire weekend.
Hundreds of sleds enjoyed the midwinter warm up in southern Minnesota.
Polaris was the sled of the show and the "red/white&blue" was out in force.

The 50th winner (1966) of the I-500 Herb Howe was in attendance
with the Polaris 377 Colt he used to conquer the international race.
Ride anything pre 1970 for more than 50 miles and reflect on the fact this is 1/10th of the race.
Amazing feat to complete it let alone win it.  Herb's winning time was
13 hours, 37 minutes, and 54 seconds.  Thanks Herb for taking time to keep history alive!

Results for all the 2008 show classes will be posted on the Midwest Vintage Snowmobile Shows
web site (http://www.mwvss.com).  Most of the winners sleds should be in the Waconia show pictures.

Side note:
