WHAT IS YOUR SLED WORTH? PAGE 138
I GET EMAILS FROM OWNERS ASKING ME WHAT I THINK THEIR SLED IS WORTH.  THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS - APPEARANCE - CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION - RARE MODEL - STORED OUTSIDE / INSIDE -  ORIGINAL - HAVING TRANSFER PAPERS AND SO ON.

I CREATED THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY.

JUST REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN
TRUE VALUE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD.

THIS GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED.  AFTER ALL  A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE.
I CANNOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE PRICE YOU BUY OR SELL YOUR SLED AT. THAT IS TOTALLY
YOUR DECISION.  GOOD LUCK.

I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE YEAR POSTED WITH THE SNOWMOBILE.
SOMETIMES - PEOPLE POST THE WRONG YEAR.

1964 Ski-doo Model RD-64 Alpine. Its a very rather rare unit. This one is in good shape with the exception of the gas tank which as the pictures show has been opened up on the top. I was told this ran last year and the owner had been using a plastic gas can under the hood. The machine was last registered in 2004. The motor at present has no spark and I haven't really looked at it except for ensuring its not the plug. The engine turns over and seems to have good compression. The compression release is intact as is the engine stop switch under the carburator. There is no rust through. This is solid. The tracks are original and in seem to be in really good shape. The cowling is cracked as shown in the pictures but should be a easy fix. I do have the ID tag as shown however the glove box cover which was rather loose found its way under my lawnmower! The bottom of the fuel tank seems to be without holes so with a application of a sealer I don't see why a top can't be rather easily fabricated and welded onto the tank. The ski is in great shape. Obviously it will need a seat as well.
