I
GET EMAILS FROM OWNERS ASKING ME WHAT I THINK THEIR SLED IS WORTH.
THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS -
APPEARANCE
- CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION
- RARE MODEL - STORED OUTSIDE / INSIDE - ORIGINAL - HAVING TRANSFER
PAPERS AND SO ON.
I CREATED THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY. JUST
REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER
THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN
SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN
THIS
GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED. AFTER
ALL A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT.
I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE.
I
DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE YEAR POSTED WITH THE SNOWMOBILE.

I
am selling this for a friend. He is the one and only original owner
of this snowmobile. He purchased this brand new around 1971 (?),
put 180 original miles on it and has been sitting stored inside his pole
barn ever since. He always kept the cover on it and up off the cement
floor. It is incredible! I am very proud to have it in my place
but it is ready for a new home! Tag on body says: Suzuki / Engine
type SM10 / 359cc / Body #SM10-15727 / Engine #SM10-15689. I don’t
see any tag on motor. Not sure of the year of this sled.
This comes with original cover, manual and tool bag with tools. I have pulled the spark plugs out and it does have great spark but I have not tried to start and run it. I’m certain buyer will want to clean carburetor, lines and tank. Tank is plastic so there is no rust in it. With only 180 original miles on her, I am certain she will run again. It has great compression also. The ski’s do have a little rust on them and there is light rust here and there on the body of machine. The carburetor has some rust around it too. Probably from being covered up for so many years. The seat and back rest are nearly perfect. The only thing I see with them is there are some brown stains here and there. I think maybe from leaves getting inside when door was open and they may have bled through cover. I did polish seat but did not want to try too hard as buyer may be able to find a better vinyl cleaner than I have to get them out. No rips or tears in seat or back rest. All chrome parts look very good. Especially the bumper but rear bar has light pitting (very light). Side bars are great and handlebars are great. The hood is awesome but with one spot the size of a dime that is “bubbled” in the paint for some reason. Hood made of fiberglass and no cracks. I don’t see any dents or anything cracked anywhere. The track looks to be in great shape. No tears, very fine weather checking like all rubber has. It also has a vintage compass attached to hood to find your way!
Winning bid: US $999.00 (Reserve met)
