I GET LETTERS EVERY OTHER DAY FROM PEOPLE TELLING ME THEY HAVE A SLED FOR SALE AND ASKING ME WHAT I THINK IT IS WORTH.  THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS - APPEARANCE - CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION - RARE MODEL - HAS IT BEEN STORED OUTSIDE OR INSIDE - IS IT ALL ORIGINAL - BUYING FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVING TRANSFER PAPERS AND SO ON. I AM CREATING THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION SO YOU CAN COMPARE. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY. JUST REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN TRUE VALUE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD ON EBAY. I DO NOT KNOW THE TRUE VALUE OF SNOWMOBILES AND THIS GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED.  AFTER ALL  A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE. 1971ARCTIC CAT. IT HAS A 290cc KAWASAKI ENGINE WITH A WALBRO CARBURETOR. IT WILL START IF YOU GIVE IT A "SHOT" OF GAS, BUT WILL NOT DRAW THE FUEL UP ON ITS OWN. IT LOOKS TO BE ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR THE PAINTED TANK. THERE ARE NO CRACKS IN THE HOOD, THE BUMPER IS STRAIGHT AND THE SEAT AND TRACK ARE JUST ABOUT PERFECT! 1974 Raider Double Eagle Twin Tack Snowmobile- these were  made one year only. It has a cockpit that the rider sits in and has two narrow tracks driven by a 440cc CCW engineThe previous owner said it runs great and it was last registered for trail riding in 1998. I poured some mixed gas in the carburator and I'll be damned if it didn't start on the first pull! (it also has electric start but the battery is shot) It did'nt stay running long but then I found the choke- the cable  no longer runs from the cockpit - a new one has been added at the engine.
