I GET LETTERS EVERY OTHER DAY FROM PEOPLE TELLING ME THEY HAVE A SLED FOR SALE AND ASKING ME WHAT I THINK IT IS WORTH.  THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS - APPEARANCE - CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION - RARE MODEL - HAS IT BEEN STORED OUTSIDE OR INSIDE - IS IT ALL ORIGINAL - BUYING FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVING TRANSFER PAPERS AND SO ON. I AM CREATING THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION SO YOU CAN COMPARE. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY.  JUST REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN TRUE VALUE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD ON EBAY.  I DO NOT KNOW THE TRUE VALUE OF SNOWMOBILES AND THIS GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED.  AFTER ALL  A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE. 	1979 kawasaki invader snowmobile. 440 liquid cooled.nice overall shape. Has good spark,has compression. missing windshield. Hood is very nice,track is decent,belly pan has crack on left side. a nice old Arctic Cat Pantera 500cc snowmobile. It's a 1976 with around 1350 miles on it. It has a 500cc spirit motor that runs great and starts easy. It has good compresion in both jugs(around 100 in both). I put new wear bars on it last winter and only rode around 100 trouble free miles. The track is in great shape with no missing cleats. The hood is in solid shape but the decals show a little wear from age. Windshield is complete and in fine shape. The seat is in good condition with a couple bad spots. This is a 1973 Brut 3 cylinder, liquid cooled. The odometer reads 240 miles, the sled is NOT mint. The miles could be right but there just has been damage done by storage, rust, time and amature restoration. The good part is it runs so sweet and sounds so good.
