WHAT IS YOUR SLED WORTH? PAGE 29

I GET LETTERS EVERY OTHER DAY FROM PEOPLE TELLING ME THEY HAVE A SLED FOR SALE AND ASKING ME WHAT I THINK IT IS WORTH.  THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS - APPEARANCE - CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION - RARE MODEL - HAS IT BEEN STORED OUTSIDE OR INSIDE - IS IT ALL ORIGINAL - BUYING FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVING TRANSFER PAPERS AND SO ON. I AM CREATING THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION SO YOU CAN COMPARE. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY. JUST REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN TRUE VALUE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD ON EBAY. I DO NOT KNOW THE TRUE VALUE OF SNOWMOBILES AND THIS GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED.  AFTER ALL  A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE. 1974 MASSEY FERGUSON SKI WHIZ 404 SPORT TRAC.  The snowmobile is a 1974, bought from the Massey Ferguson dealership in Leon, WI. (which is no longer in business.)  The chassis has 2705 miles on it.  It doesn't have the original engine in it anymore because it sucked a screw from the carburetor into the engine.  This happened at 2400 miles.  My uncle then took it to a lawn and sports shop in which he had a complete brand new out of the crate Cuyuna 440 engine installed.  Not an overhauled engine but a complete new engine.  At this same time, he also had a brand new track installed.  That was 6 years ago and the sled now has 2705 miles on it. 	ALTHOUGH LISTED AS A  1969 BOA SKI, THIS IS A 1970 BOA SKI -  COBRA.

Hi this has sat in my basement for over 15 years untouched. There is no smell of gas at all. This is in great shape for a 1969.  ( 1970 NOT 69 ) I will not try and start this. I have no place to keep it out side.  So it is sold not running . It ran great 15 years ago. The tank has some old epoxy repairs. I don't know if it will need any more repairs from sitting. I see a tank selling new on ebay if it needed a replacement. The windshield is broke on one side. This would be easy to replace. I have seen them in catalogs. The motor pulls over fine with that nice pop, pop, sound. Its a twin 399cc. This boa ski is in great shape for its age. seat is clean with only some creases from me keep stuff on the seat for years. Skis have some rust but will bead blast clean. This will make a very easy restoration project or use as it is . Its that nice. This comes with its original tools, extra belt, factory cover (needs to be washed) , and a factory aluminum boa ski stand to keep the weight of the track. No place to ride, but have kept this a long time in hopes to again. This did not see a lot of use, only 52 miles. May need carb cleaning etc from sitting so long or may not.
