I GET LETTERS EVERY OTHER DAY FROM PEOPLE TELLING ME THEY HAVE A SLED FOR SALE AND ASKING ME WHAT I THINK IT IS WORTH.  THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS - APPEARANCE - CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION - RARE MODEL - HAS IT BEEN STORED OUTSIDE OR INSIDE - IS IT ALL ORIGINAL - BUYING FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVING TRANSFER PAPERS AND SO ON. I AM CREATING THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION SO YOU CAN COMPARE. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY. JUST REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN TRUE VALUE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD ON EBAY. I DO NOT KNOW THE TRUE VALUE OF SNOWMOBILES AND THIS GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED.  AFTER ALL  A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE. 1969 Alouette 869-3 Custom snowmobile in pretty good shape for a 35 year old sled. I am the third owner of this sled, and it has been kept inside. The chasis has very little rust, and is very straight. The motor is a Sachs sa 280, and runs well. The hood has been repaired, and touched up by the original owner. The seat has been recovered. The track has some cracks but still very useable. The inside of the gas tank is spotless. Chrome front is bumper shiny, and straight. 1974 Yamaha GPX 433F               You are bidding on a 1974 GPX 433F snowmobile. This sled has a original yamaha cleated track which is only 2 seasons old and has 150 miles on the track. The 433 is a twin cyl. free-air motor with mikuni carbs. The original mileage is 1433, the sled has speed-o, duel temp gauges and tach(is not hooked up). This machine is in very good condition and runs excellent. The seat is in good shape, no rips, but stitching is coming undone a little in the front an rear.
