WHAT IS YOUR SLED WORTH? PAGE 13
I GET LETTERS EVERY OTHER DAY FROM PEOPLE TELLING ME THEY HAVE A SLED FOR SALE AND ASKING ME WHAT I THINK IT IS WORTH.  THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS - APPEARANCE - CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION - RARE MODEL - HAS IT BEEN STORED OUTSIDE OR INSIDE - IS IT ALL ORIGINAL - BUYING FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVING TRANSFER PAPERS AND SO ON. I AM CREATING THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION SO YOU CAN COMPARE. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY. JUST REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN TRUE VALUE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD ON EBAY. I DO NOT KNOW THE TRUE VALUE OF SNOWMOBILES AND THIS GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED.  AFTER ALL  A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE. I CANNOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE PRICE YOU BUY OR SELL YOUR SLED AT.   THAT IS TOTALLY YOUR DECISION.  GOOD LUCK.
I WILL BE ADDING NEW SLEDS AS THEY SELL ON EBAY!
I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE YEAR POSTED WITH
THE SNOWMOBILE.  SOMETIMES - PEOPLE POST THE WRONG YEAR.
You are looking at a beautiful 1972 Polaris TX 335. I bought it seven years ago fully restored to almost new condition. I had to really study it to tell if it was restored or just mint original. I put about 100 easy miles on it over the coarse of three winters before I got some new stuff to ride. It always ran great.

Raider Twin Track Snowmobile with 400 cc CCW engine. This sled is nice. Fires right up and runs great, has excellent and even compression on both cylinders. Has electric start but needs battery. Tracks and axles are great. Has the original factory cover. This has been stored inside all its life. I dont know if the paint job is original. Has some chips and small cracks but way above average condition. Decals and stripes in good shape.

You are bidding on a very rare 1950's ice racing sled (or snowmobile). This is probably the only one you will ever see. I bought it off a guy about 20 years ago, who was the original owner. He said that Sears use to sell them in the 50's for a short time. They were a David-Bradley item. It does not have the original 2 stroke 5 hp motor on it. It wasn't on it when I bought it. I put a 3hp 4 stroke Briggs on it a few years ago, but it didn't work. I have a artical from Popular Mechanics, which says the sled could go "35 mph and do hair pin turns". Wow, that must have been wild, back in the 50's. It runs off a motor to a sprocket, to a drive tire with snow chain.
