 I GET LETTERS EVERY OTHER DAY FROM PEOPLE TELLING ME THEY HAVE A SLED FOR SALE AND ASKING ME WHAT I THINK IT IS WORTH.  THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS -  APPEARANCE - CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION - RARE MODEL - HAS IT BEEN STORED OUTSIDE OR INSIDE - IS IT ALL ORIGINAL - BUYING FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVING TRANSFER PAPERS AND SO ON. I AM CREATING THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION SO YOU CAN COMPARE.

A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY.  JUST REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN TRUE VALUE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD ON EBAY.  I DO NOT KNOW THE TRUE VALUE OF SNOWMOBILES AND THIS GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED.  AFTER ALL

1968 Ski Doo SUPER OLYMPIQUE - UNRESTORED - Serial # BS8-110964.  Previous owner started some painting prep work on the hood but aside from that, this sled is in splendid Original Condition!  The Paint is ALL ORIGINAL and Still Bright Yellow - Minimal signs of rust on chassis and skis - Great Chrome on Bumper and Handlebars (no pitting!) - Hood has NO cracks, breaks or repairs. Seat is Still Shiney Black with NO nicks, splits or tears and the Vinyl is Still Pliable. Running Boards have the original "Bombardier" Rubber Mats - Skis are Straight and Clean - Track is even in Good Condition. - Rear storage box is sporting some spidering but no breaks . Motor is 299cc Single that STILL RUNS WITH STRONG COMPRESSION - NO TOUCH UP PAINT - ALL ORIGINAL. Flip up Headlight Pod Operates Freely.  The sled is missing the key for the ignition as well as the decompression switch.  The sled has no registration card (last registered for the 1975 season) but comes with a bill of sale.

1974 Arctic Cat Cheetah 440 
This Arctic Cat 440 was recently removed from dry storage and is ready for trail or vintage racing track. The seat is original with no tears or cracks. The belly pan and chassis have no dents or tears. Track and suspension are excellent. Engine is Kawasaki 440 with electric start. Hood is solid with some small hairline cracks, windshield and trunk door are missing. Sled is completely original and includes owners manuel. Very good solid running snowmobile!

 
ARIENS 300S SNOWMOBILE.  This snowmobile DOES NOT run. BUT I feel IT WILL. It needs fuel lines, a carb cleaning and possibly a set of points. The track has some cracks on the outside but appears solid inside. It looks like it has very low hours. The seat  and cover are in good shape. No damage to sled and windshield. The engine has good compression, 300cc sacks. There is no belt.
